I’ve noticed that the original three GBs are similar to The Chipmunks. Check out this comparison I made.
Alvin & Peter — the womanizer and guy who thinks he’s the leader of the group.
Simon & Egon — the brainy one with glasses

Geez, trigger a horrible crossover fanfic idea, why don’t you? I have this scary but somehow intriguing image of Peter, Egon, and Ray being possessed by the personalities of the Chipmunks and running amok in the Firehouse…

And, yes, the Chipmunks covered “Ghostbusters” in the “Who Ghost There?” episode of their 1980s animated series.
