This movie has always sounded like a bad idea to me, but I was curious about the casting. Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake have NEVER sounded anything like Yogi and Boo-Boo, respectively, so I cound never figure out why they would be hired (other than name recognition). Having listened to their voices in the trailer, I was surprised by how close they were to the Yogi and Boo-Boo voices. Not perfect, but close. I have a feeling that that closeness was achieved through artificial means. Dan’s Yogi voice sounds nothing like his real voice, and Justin’s Boo-Boo is so far away from his real voice it’s hard to believe that it’s really him. If these were legitimate, qualified voice actors in the roles, I could believe the difference, but they’re not. Dan is an on-screen actor, and Justin is a singer and novice actor. So I call shenanigans on the voices.
Oh, and poor Anna Faris. Why the hell is she stuck in crap like this? Is she really that hard up for cash? She much too good for a film like this.
