Over the past week, fans of our Facebook page have been treated to several of these mashup posters from artist Phil Postman. Phil’s mixed Ghostbusters with such beloved films as Beetlejuice, Superman, The Excorcist, The Shining and many, many more. We’ve grouped them all together below, but we highly suggest you check out Phil’s website for even more outstanding art.
We’ve all seen Dan Aykroyd’s cameo in the live action Casper flick, but what would happen if the connection between the two franchises stretched just a little further? Artist Phil Postma answered that question with the below pieces:
And for the very few who’ve never seen Aykroyd’s performance in Casper, well, enjoy…
Care to add Dr. Peter Venkman to your wall? I’m assuming you either slowly nodded or said “yes” in your head…
Artist Rob Loukotka sent over the below print that’s currently available over on FringeFocus.com:

Awesome, right? Here’s Rob’s inspiration on the piece:
I tried to capture the tone of the movie in this illustration, specifically the sequence where you see them running all over the city busting ghosts. They’re jaded, tired, blue-collar workers halfway through the movie. So I tried to show Dr. Venkman’s apathy to whole situation by lighting up a cigarette and ignoring the ghost bustin’. Obviously this is not a shot from the movie, but more of a fabricated scenario that I like to imagine happened at some point.
The print is available for the rather low price of just $40 or you grab one of the artists proof for $60. What’s an “artists proof” you’re asking?
Artist’s Proofs are the exact same print as the Main Edition, printed on the same paper at the same time. But they are my personal collection of prints, and usually comprise just 5 to 20% of the total print run. The noticeable difference is a lower edition quantity and the marking ‘AP’ written next to the number. Both the Main Edition and the Artist’s Proof are signed by the artist.
And before we forget, here’s all the basic details on the print:
Title: Something Strange in Your Neighborhood
Edition Size: 180 (and 35 APs)
Size: 36″ x 12″
3 Color Screen Print on French Paper
Artist: Rob Loukotka
Signed and Numbered
Now a quick heads up, these WILL NOT last long. If you want one, be sure to purchase yours now!
Oh, and be sure to check out Fringe Focus on Facebook and/or Twitter and let Rob know what you think of his art!
