Final issue?! That’s got to be some mistake, right? Well, a tweet from artist Tristan Jones confirms IDW’s Ghostbusters comic will be ending with issue #20 in September.

Many fans still wanted clarification on if “final issue” actually meant the end of the series or just the final comic in their current story arc; Mass Hysteria.

Tristan’s follow up:

Featured Post: 100 artists. 100 drawings. 1 per hour until the 30th anniversary on June 8th.

With the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters upon us, a Tumblr page has went live. It’s gimmick? 100 artists. 100 drawings. 1 per hour until the 30th anniversary on June 8th.

Here’s what Patrick Fedo, the man behind the Tumblr page had to say:

So, knowing the 30th anniversary was upon us, I knew I had to do something to honor the films and the universe that as meant to much to me.

I enlisted the help of almost 100 artists from all over the world to draw a single character from all over the Ghostbusters universe – the movies, the animated series, the comics, the toys – everywhere. And so starting today at noon central time a new drawing will be posted on the hour, every hour for the next five days, leading up to the 30th anniversary of the theatrical release of Ghostbusters. Then, one week from today, the whole thing will be released as a huge collaborative picture will all 90-something drawings together, chronicling the project, and the Ghostbusters universe.

Thank you to everyone involved in this project. Creating art, getting the word out, helping me organize, all that stuff. The love and support I’ve seen for Ghostbusters over these past few months has really blown me away. And when Harold Ramis died right in the middle of the project, the outpouring of love was just amazing.
