Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed’s Slimer is arguably the best the character has ever looked

Since his first appearance in the original 1984 Ghostbusters film, Slimer has been the subject of a handful of notable redesigns, going from a grotesque food cart devouring menace to an adorable juice box mascot.

With the recent release of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the character has once again received a makeover that clearly pays homage to what came before, melding together different iterations and creating one of the best renditions of the spud that we’ve ever gotten!

Artist Jay Doherty, who had a key hand in designing some of the characters and assets in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, just uploaded the below images of what appears to be a finalized, or at least near-finalized concepts of the green blob.

Along with Slimer, Doherty also shared a closer look at series newcomers Eddy and Shriek, along with some of the time-based Halloween assets.
