Ghostbusters Day celebration to include New York City film location tour

Franchise group the Buffalo Ghostbusters are back, readying another can’t-miss celebration for this year’s Ghostbusters Day, but this time, they’re not alone, teaming up with the NYC Ghostbusters, with the return of the annual film location tour being announced.

With the Ghostbusters Firehouse, otherwise known as New York City’s Hook & Ladder 8, serving as the central hub for this year’s festivities, the walking tour will see fans tour the city, visiting some of the most iconic locations seen in both Ghostbusters & Ghostbusters II.

The day’s events will kick off on June 10th at 12 pm EST, and like previous years, will begin at Hook & Ladder 8, with special guests and events to soon be announced. The walking tour then starts at 2:00 pm EST, with all fans having the option of joining, with the tour led by officially licensed NYC guides!

Best yet, the tour is free to all Ghostbusters Day attendees, but donations to Trinity Place (NYC Ghostbusters‘ preferred charity) are greatly appreciated.

Last year saw The Buffalo Ghostbusters raise over $8,600 for Hook & Ladder and included special guests and on-screen talent from the 1984 movie, including Joe Cirillo, who played the New York City Police Captain, and Stephen Friedland, seen outside the Zuul building playing a Hare Krishna Acolyte. The Ecto-1 NJ was also a huge hit, providing a must-have photo op for fans and passersby.
