Mckenna Grace is back as Ghostbusters’ Phoebe Spengler in new TikTok video

It’s been four years since the filming of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and with the follow-up sequel currently in production in the United Kingdom, actress Mckenna Grace has shared our first look at her return to the role of Egon Spengler’s granddaughter, Phoebe.

Grace, who’ll be turning 17 this June, just posted a TikTok with the caption “… Who ya gonna call?” that ends with her wearing the trademark Spengler glasses paired with Phoebe’s curly dark hair.

At this time, Columbia Pictures Ghost Corps have yet to confirm Grace’s return in the upcoming sequel, but it’s apparent that she’ll be back, not only due to the film’s synopsis, which describes it as “the next chapter in the Spengler Family saga,” but in a recent interview with NME, Grace confirmed her involvement, saying:

“It’s gonna be weird getting back into that character because I had just turned 13 when we started shooting [Ghostbusters: Afterlife], and now on our [new] set, I’m going to turn 17.”

Further casting rumors were sparked last month after Grace, alongside Finn Wolfhard and Logan Kim, was seen attending the launch of Ghostbusters VR Academy at a Gravity Active Entertainment Center in the United Kingdom. A few weeks prior, fellow Afterlife co-star Celeste O’Connor made it apparent that they were in the UK, sharing a photo from Oxfordshire, England.

The untitled Ghostbusters sequel, given the codename of Firehouse, is slated to arrive in theaters on December 20th, 2023. Keep checking Ghostbusters News and subscribe to our YouTube channel for future updates and exclusive coverage.
