As part of this year’s Ghostbusters Day festivities, a 7-hour-long fan film marathon has been announced, streaming live for fans around the world.
Coinciding with the annual celebration, the Ghostbusters Day Fan Film Spectacle will air on June 8th from 5:00 pm to 12:00 am EST on Spectrum (Dayton, OH south) Channel 991, AT&T U-verse Channel 99, and streaming live to a worldwide audience through MVCC.
Featuring a lineup of fan-made Ghostbusters movies that are sure to entertain, among them familiar favorites and recent gems, including:
- Freddy vs. Ghostbusters
- Ghostbusters: Spilled Milk
- Return of the Ghostbusters
- Real! A Ghostbusters Tale
- Ghostbusters: SLC
- Ghostbusters: Station 6
- Ghostbusters Italia
Spearheaded by Mike Sopronyi of The Real Ohio Ghostbusters, the marathon will be similar to past broadcasts, “Halloween Spooktacular: A Salute To Ghostbusters Fandom“ & “Countdown To Afterlife,“ with fan franchises encouraged to submit a 15 to 20-second shout-out video that will air in between films.

This year’s Ghostbusters Day celebration will mark the 39th anniversary of the franchise. While Columbia Pictures Ghost Corps have yet to announce what they have planned for the big day, additional fan events are set to take place, including The Buffalo Ghostbusters hosting their annual fundraiser for Hook & Ladder 8, taking place outside the famed firehouse.
