Last month, we reported on a rumor suggesting that Gozer the Gozerian would finally be joining Funko’s ever-growing Ghostbusters Pop! lineup, and today, we’ve got an update, providing fans with their first look at the upcoming release.
Shown in newly surfaced product images, the Destructor’s appearance from the original 1984 Ghostbusters is recreated, complete with the character’s flat-top hairstyle, piercing red eyes, and bubble-heavy, otherworldly bodysuit.
For Funko collectors, this one has been a long time coming. While Gozer previously appeared as part of Funko’s smaller Mystery Minis assortment, and the company has released numerous versions of Gozer’s chosen Destructor form, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, this marks the character’s first traditional Pop! vinyl figure.
As for when fans can add Gozer to their collection, pre-orders are expected to begin this Wednesday, with the figure currently slated to ship this October.
Alongside Gozer, that previous rumor/leak also pointed to Ghostbusters joining Funko’s pint-sized Bitty Pop! assortment in early 2027. The expected lineup is said to include two four-packs, an Ecto-1 paired with Slimer, and a miniature Firehouse featuring Egon Spengler.
