If you’ve been waiting to add one of The Real Ghostbusters’ creepiest villains to your Mondo collection, it may be time to start getting that shelf space, and your wallet, ready.
Mondo has shared the teaser below featuring Grundel, one half of the upcoming Collector’s Pack alongside the Ghostbusters’ bumbling accountant, Louis Tully. While no pre-order date accompanied the tease, if previous Real Ghostbusters releases are any guide, these posts typically signal that the pre-order window is imminent, potentially arriving as soon as next week.
First revealed late last year during Yes Have Some Podcast’s Holiday Stream-A-Thon, the Collector’s Pack would later make its first public display appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, where Louis, Grundel, and the set’s various extras were shown in hand.
Louis comes dressed in his signature two-tone, slightly baggy Ghostbusters uniform from the animated series, complete with an alternate portrait, swappable hands, Proton Pack with stream, Ghost Trap with interchangeable cartridge, PKE Meter, and Ecto Goggles.
Of course, the real star of Mondo’s latest teaser is Grundel, the unsettling child-preying antagonist introduced in the classic episode of the same name. The figure will feature alternate portraits, with the Collector’s Pack also including Alec in his possessed form, depicting the young boy after falling under Grundel’s influence.
Rounding out the release is an all-new Slimer, and this time he’s officially joining the team, equipped with his own Proton Pack.
As with Mondo’s previous Real Ghostbusters Collector’s Packs, Louis and Grundel are expected to carry a price tag of $202, although we’ll be waiting on the company’s official pre-order announcement for confirmation, along with availability and an estimated shipping window.
